Socialisation explores the possible variety of human behaviour and activity and the ways in which social skills and social values are learnt Through an investigation of stories and factual reports about feral children, observataion of children's activities in a kindergarten and social surveys, students employ the concepts of environment, social, natural, biological potential, human potential, learning, culture and family. The Social Literacy Project' has developed this unit as part of an interdisciplinary social science course for primary and secondary schools. The goal of social literacy is; for students to develop a framework of social concept as tools for social understanding and active, confident social participation.
